For this piece, I tried to give the feeling that something big is going to happen. Since it is a main title/screen for the game, I wanted the players to feel like something amazing is going to happen soon. Also I left the ending with an amgibuous ending to tell them that it doesn't end right there. I continues when they play the game.

These first two pieces of music I've posted were actually supposed to be part of the same hypothetical game I thought of. I had just about finished the opening theme when I got an idea to do a faster pace variation. I changed the rhythm around a little bit to fit the mood a little more, but instantly got a weird feeling. I felt like I had heard it somewhere, but decided to continue on anyways. It wasn't until I had nearly finished the second piece that I had a sudden memory of a certain Italian plumber, and realized where the feeling had come from. I did a quick search on youtube and my assumptions were right. When I had changed my first theme, it turned out to be the exact same theme from Super Mario Galaxy! Well I thought it fit too well to change it, so I decided to dedicate it to Mr Mario himself, and his composer, Koji Kondo.
(edit)
And to further incriminate myself more, I'll post a link to the Super Mario Galaxy title theme here.

It was all innocent coincidence......honest.

Hi everyone, welcome to my music blog. Here I will be posting about my works, mainly how they came about, and how I expected them to fit inside a scene or game. I will have an individual entry for each piece, unless there is some direct correlation between multiple works. Feel free to leave any comments you have about my pieces, like the scenery you imagined, or what you thought about the piece.
